~Stewardship Reminder: Did you know you may pick up pre-addressed giving envelopes from a table in the church lobby? During these weeks of summer when we’re traveling a lot, using the envelopes make it pretty easy to mail your regular tithe / offering to the church. Our office staff places the envelopes in a locked box where they stay until the finance folks count them on Sundays.

9) SHARING THE WORD
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have loved one another.” John 13:35
The world is concerned largely about commercial and industrial problems. The struggle for existence has grown worse in this complex age. Man in his desire for food, housing, and clothing has at times lost sense of the moral law and with his physical demands has sacrificed ideals. Christ, in His day, recognized such a condition in the world and He trained His followers to rise above world and He trained His followers to rise above the level of this life. Love was to be paramount. His disciples were not merely to teach love but they were to show it in their actions. Christianity was to be a living force in the affairs of men. He gave the membership of the church a task when He charged His followers with a new precept “Love your enemies.” A sign of a true Christian is not what he believes but how he shows his discipleship. This old world would revert to the law of the jungle if it were not for the men and the women who hold fast to the faith of their fathers and apply that faith and love in the solution of the problems of life.
