The season of Lent is a 40-day period that many Christians observe in preparation for Easter. It is an invitation for believers to rededicate themselves to the Lord and is often accompanied by an intentional spiritual practice with the goal of drawing closer to Jesus. Some Christians choose a version of fasting - perhaps from sweet food, soda, meat, electronics, or television. The idea is that the space created by giving something up helps us give more time to seeking God. Others choose to add a spiritual practice such as reading or memorizing Scripture, prayer, service, or some sort of intentional rest. It is a time to leave behind those things that inhibit us from walking with God and enjoy things that draw us closer to Him.
Ash Wednesday is a special service to kick of the season of Lent. It is a time to worship, dedicate ourselves to the Lord, and to commit to a spiritual practice as He leads. You are invited to join us on Wednesday March 6, from 6-7pm.

In addition, group participants will be given the opportunity to encourage, share, and pray with one another. Click here for small group times or call 667-6768 for more information. Childcare is provided for some of our groups.
