A Praying Community
“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work;
prayer is the greater work."
Each week, you will find a “Connect Card” in the Worship Bulletin with space to write any prayer requests you may have. This paper may be placed in the offering or in the Joy Box located in the back of the sanctuary. Requests are read and prayed over by the staff at our weekly meetings and kept confidential unless permission to share has been given.
Women’s Prayer and Fellowship Group
This prayer ministry began during the early formation of Cornerstone Covenant Church, and continues to be a place for prayer warriors to come to the Lord together today. They intentionally pray over many different aspects of Cornerstone – including the various ministries/small groups, the council members, the pastors, and any outreach to the community. They even pray name by name through the church directory! These women are dedicated to prayer and investing in one another in a very special way. This group currently meets year round on Thursdays at 9am. They rotate their location monthly, so contact Lucy Honnette for more details (209) 535-1307.
Prayer Chain: Urgent Prayer Communication
The purpose of this group is to pray for the needs and emergencies of our church family, friends, the community and the world as requested. All information shared must come directly from the individual asking for prayer. In order to submit a request, contact Carrie Burden by emailing calling (209) 484-8477. She will forward the information to the team via email.
What You Can Expect From Those Who Pray
They will pray immediately.
They will continue to pray and intercede for the prayer requests until they feel a release or an answer has been sent.
They will keep your requests completely confidential. They will not discuss amongst each other or forward messages outside of the group.

Invitation for Prayer During Worship
In response to Vitality, we are providing an opportunity for people to respond to worship and the message by being prayed for/over by fellow believers. Toward the end of each Worship Service, there will be at least two people available and standing to the left of the stage. Requests and concerns can be shared or remain silent – those serving will simply pray as the Spirit leads.
